ABOUT

My name is Julie Hickey and I am the founder of One Love Wellness located in beautiful Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica.

I have been living on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica since 2000, drawn by my love of nature, the beach, ocean, surfing, and the pura vida lifestyle.

I am a proud mother of two wonderful sons who grew up in the Costa Rican jungle. I have training in labor assistance and I had both my sons at home births. I am also a surfer, yogi, skater, healing practitioner, aquatic therapist, educator, and retreat facilitator. I have also taught many people how to surf, including my own children. Surfing, water nature, bodywork, yoga, skating, motherhood, and Ice Baths are all my passions and One Love. I enjoy sharing what has helped me to heal my own mind, body, and spirit.

I have more than 20 years of experience in bodywork and I specialize in deep tissue, Thai massage, Cranial Sacral, Reiki Master, Watsu, and Aquadynamics practitioner. I am a 500-hour advanced yoga teacher and I have been leading yoga classes for over a decade. I am certified to teach Thai massage and I have taught Reiki and Thai massage to thousands of students from around the world. Many of my students are now healing others with their touch in different countries.

In the last few years, I started doing Breathwork and Ice Baths and it has transformed my life. It has helped me to go deep within and find the strength and power within to show up as my highest self for my clients. I experienced profound healing with this therapy.

My mission is to help others feel good physically, mentally, and spiritually through natural therapies while providing a safe and loving healing sanctuary of One Love.
